The extensive range of McLaughlin Bennett 5.0 archwires allows orthodontists to perfectly overcome almost any treatment task. What makes this possible is the archwires’ excellent properties, which ensure the best possible implementation of the McLaughlin Bennett 5.0 treatment concept in every stage of treatment. The heat-activated NiTi (HANT) archwires are available for aligning and levelling, and in the finishing stage too. Their force level guides the teeth to the ideal tip, torque and in / out. The steel archwires offer outstanding sliding mechanics due to their extremely smooth surface. It is recommended that they be used in non-extraction cases with an overbite / open bite, in extraction cases with anterior crowded arches or for settling, for example. The heat-treated steel archwires, as well as the ball-posted steel archwires with their brass ball hooks, are ideally suited for the treatment control phases. To name but a few examples, they enable optimum overjet and overbite control as well as gap closure. The McLaughlin Bennett 5.0 series of arches are available in tapered, square and ovoid shapes.
